It smoothens out the surface and makes daily cleaning easier.
This product is semi impregnating. Which means it will not penetrate as much as a sealer does but will make its way into the material partially.
Surfaces must be cleaned completely and free of any dirt before polish is used.
For a very large counter area buffer with 600 RPM will give the best result along with the white pad.
